I studied Computer Science and Law, which sounds like an odd pairing until you notice that both are really about systems and the people caught inside them. I still read engineering problems that way. Who is downstream of this decision, and what does it cost them? A lot of engineering gets decided without anyone asking that out loud.

I spent two and a half years at Atlassian in Sydney after university. I learned a great deal there, and I came away certain that a startup is where I can actually move something. I first heard about Superpower when it launched a few years ago, and it stayed in the back of my mind the whole time.

What made me say yes was partly the size of the opportunity and mostly the people. Getting to know the team during the interview process settled it. Their product instincts are sharp, the ambition is high, and the chance to help build a better health experience made Superpower the kind of place I wanted to be.

I got a clear read on how the team thinks about product and engineering, and it was obvious I would learn quickly around them. That mattered more to me than anything on paper.

I am working across the full stack. The part I care about most is the experience our members actually touch, the difference between a product that technically works and one that someone is glad to open. That is where I want to spend my time.

Outside work my interests are scattered. Fashion, writing, music, storytelling. I am also serious about health and fitness, mostly the gym and more recently running. The mission is not abstract to me, which is a large part of why this one landed.
